Mandy is a geeky entrepreneur, creative director, writer and social media addict. She is a true geek-goes-fashion type who loves edgy, tomboy and streetwear fashion. She runs several platforms, including websites and magazines in Dutch and English. Mandy likes to think big and go international. She believes that writing in English can help her reach more people and grow her blogs and magazines. Branding and creating are what she does best. She genuinely loves building new ideas and turning them into something real. Alongside her creative work, Mandy also works in healthcare and social care. She helps people live their best lives by supporting them with finding homes, dealing with difficult situations and overcoming depression. It is all part of everyday life and her goal is to help people build a better life. This combination of creative work and helping others works well for her. It gives her a feeling that she is giving something back to society. After a rough start in 2015 and 2016, Mandy is back again. She wants to travel more, meet new people and hopefully meet some soulmates along the way. She likes working and believes that being busy is a blessing. Mandy is also spiritual and believes in karma. Everyone deserves blessings and healing. You can overcome your fears and become a better person. Karma is real. Live fairly and treat people well.

Founder of it is Mandy Style

Hi, I’m Mandy B (Mandy Buddenberg — a creative international entrepreneur and soul with a passion for edgy fashion, unique lifestyles, and bold self-expression). I started it is Mandy Style because I couldn’t find a space that celebrated edgy, tomboy, and alternative feminine styles without judgment or limitation. I started with itismandy.com, but changed to itismandy style to focus more on fashion, the gifted/HSP lifestyle and less on beauty. Make-up is not so much of my interest. I just wear some skincare and mascara actually. 

My goal is simple: to empower women but also young girls and boy to live boldly, to be themselves, love their unique selves, and embrace fashion as a form of self-identity and therapy. I believe that fashion is not about fitting in—it’s about standing out.

Why I Created Mandy Style

I wanted to give voice and visibility to women and boys and girls who don’t follow the mainstream. Who are gifted. Whether you’re emo, queer, tomboy, sensitive, creative, or just unapologetically yourself — you belong here.

Through this platform, I share my own experiences, style choices, and inspirations to help others find the courage to express themselves fully. Let’s break the rules and redefine what beauty and femininity mean.

  • Mandy Buddenberg is my real name (founder of more magazines of blogs, like carrieretijd.nl).
  • Lover of black chunky boots and sneakers, vintage/bomber jackets, and bold lipstick
  • Draws inspiration from nature, street art, and pop culture
  • Big Fan of strong, fearless women who stand for something and are themselves. Not many out there actually. Everybody follows the crowd. 
  • Currently living in the Netherlands (would not mind moving to another country, dont feel supported here with my talent and skills.
  • Building an edgy movement and shop, not just a brand. Im here for the young insecure ladies and men to believe in themselves.
