The Best Queer Jewelry Brands You Need to Know About in 2026

Let’s talk about something that sits at the intersection of identity, artistry, and cold hard cash , queer jewelry brands. The change that has occurred in the jewelry industry in just the last five years has been remarkable. In the past, high-quality jewelry was primarily made for traditional couples in specific body types having one type of love story; however, this is changing. By 2026 there will exist a complete universe of queer-owned, queer-focused, and queer-centered brands producing both traditional and unique designs of fine jewelry. No longer will they simply fill a void; they will revolutionize how fine jewelry is made and sold.

This is not a one-time, Pride Month thing. What is taking place is a 12-month-a-year, buy-this-ring-on-a-Wednesday movement.

Why It Actually Matters Where You Buy Your Jewelry

Can we talk for a second about why it’s important to have this conversation? One reason is there’s a difference between brands that just slap a rainbow on their website every June versus those who are actually owned and operated by queer individuals. Less than 1% of businesses in America is owned by an LGBTQIA+ person, and of that small percentage, only ~30% of those businesses are owned by women, only about ~2% are owned by transgender individuals, and only about ~2.3% are owned by bisexuals. Considering how much economic power the queer community has at their disposal to spend, that’s a huge number. So when you choose to spend your money on something like jewelry , whether you’re purchasing an engagement ring, treating yourself to a birthday gift (yes, you deserve it!), or buying a gift for someone else , you’re making the decision of which individual you want to give your hard-earned money to. So with that being said, let’s get into it!

Automic Gold

If you frequent any online queer fashion spaces, then chances are you’ve seen the name Automic Gold. If not, welcome! Automic Gold is a queer/trans, owned fine jewelry company making timeless gender-neutral pieces, handmade from reclaimed, recycled 14k gold or platinum set with reclaimed and ethically-sourced diamonds and gemstones. Currently, they’re the only fine jewelry company offering inclusive sizes from 2-16 (for example via rings). This is a significant accomplishment, which sets a new standard for the industry , an achievement that no traditional jeweller may ever have achieved.

The Person Behind It

AL Sandimir, an innovative metalsmith/designer, is the creator of Automic Gold, an ethical and size-inclusive fine jewelry company, producing all items in-house from locally sourced/recycled materials. In addition to creating timeless pieces that are reflective of individual expression through personal design, AL is proud to be a part of the indigenous and non-binary communities and has worked in the fine jewelry industry for over 10 years. The designs produced by Automic Gold embody a blurred line between traditional “masculine” and “feminine” styles without being gimmicky; rather they exemplify a true design philosophy. Automic Gold contributes at least 10% of its profits to non-profits benefitting LGBTQ+ individuals and Indigenous peoples and has pledged to donate 100% of the profits from the Watermelon Charm to the in-need Palestinian families living in Gaza. In 2026, many consumers are more aware of the companies that align their values with their variable profit margins. Therefore contributing to this value-based economy by shopping with companies such as Automic Gold is imperative.

Psyche Fine Jewelry

Psyche Fine Jewelry is a Chicago-based brand that gives you a sense of discovery even if you know how to find them. Psyche Fine Jewelry is a small, queer, and female-owned business that specializes in the creation of gender-neutral fine jewellery. Our pieces feature materials from sustainable sources and take inspiration from ancient mythology; each piece is made to order with great care and crafted according to the same exacting standards that you would expect from any other luxury product.

Mythology Meets Modern Identity

This idea is based on the belief that jewelry can go beyond the lifespan of the wearer , it evolves into family heirlooms, protecting the owner, and in many cases, holding deeper meaning than when originally purchased. Founder Claire LaJeunesse draws inspiration from Greek mythology to create fantastic combinations: Not only do her pieces reflect the unique design concepts of her pieces named after the Oracle of Delphi and Pendent “Phoenix Flame” to represent renewal, but her collections also reference each of the twelve gods of ancient Greece. Dramatic, in the best possible way! An amazing mix of “I include multitudes and I include great taste” energy within each piece.

Chouette Designs

Chouette Designs (pronounced “shoo-wet” [French – cute]) will have you feeling slightly sophisticated knowing it’s a French term. Owned & operated by Ashley (one of the co-founders) & Marine (the other co-founder), both are married women living in San Diego. They create beautiful, gender-inclusive, size-inclusive designs and custom-made treasures that reflect each couple’s unique story of love.

Custom Pieces That Actually See You

One of the things that is most important to me about Chouette is the customization available to customers. This is not a “shop and wait” experience (you find something online, add it to cart, send it to an address,).

These rings will reflect who you are and what your relationship looks like.

If you want a ring that is truly unique, represents your individuality, yet doesn’t look like it was created for a 1995 romantic comedy, consider looking into Chouette. The rings are made from solid gold or are handmade to order for each client, making each piece truly special.

VENVS

Frustration gave birth to a product, VENVS, with an interesting origin story. From mutual friendships between people found at her former job, founder Haley Biemiller developed the idea of creating a line of jewellers and making it accessible to everyone. Therefore, accepting of all diversities and differences in people regardless of where they may have come from – race, religion, sexual preference or anything else.

A Safe Space in the Jewelry Industry

Walking into an established jewelry store as a same-gender couple can be uncomfortable and awkward at times. VENVS was founded as a means of combating this type of unwelcoming experience by serving as a resource for minorities who have been marginalized and looking for a way to express themselves as such. When the group originally started, there were very few places for individuals from minority backgrounds to feel safe or represented, so their goal was to create an environment where everyone , regardless of their background , could go to feel comfortable shopping and spending money. Their collection of items is not only classically stunning but also has a true purpose behind each item purchased.

Holden

Holden has made quite an impression if you’re searching for engagement rings and wedding bands. Their craftsmanship has made them even more noticeable. They manufacture their wedding bands in family-owned workshops within New York City with ethically sourced lab-grown diamonds, recycled precious metals, and are Climate Neutral Certified. To top it off, they donate 1% of their net sales to The Trevor Project.

Quality Without the Traditional Jewelry Store Markup

Climate Neutral Certification isn’t a marketing tool; it actually requires that an entity produce and remove 100% of its greenhouse gases every year to maintain climate neutrality. Lab created diamonds and recycled metals are building blocks of this good-for-you company. The designs of the products are modern and clean with genuine appeal while being stylish and uncomplicated.

MORDEKAI

We will be creating a new atmosphere in this space as it will no longer be bland or simple, so you can walk in and everyone will stop talking to you when they see you. The designer Ken Borochov has created an innovative line of accessories for MORDEKAI that reflect the opulence associated with Hollywood and Las Vegas as well as the themes of royalty, power, and luxury. He has designed and styled pieces for several celebrities, including: Rihanna, Cher, and Lady Gaga; he created a 24K gold wheelchair for Lady Gaga while she was recuperating from hip surgery.

When Jewelry Is Actually Art

24k gold wheelchair. Lady Gaga. That one sentence pretty much sums up the entire brand’s level of theatrics. MORDEKAI is not for the weak-willed, nor those on a tight budget, but instead for people who view their jewelry as wearable art and want something that no one else has.

Where Queer Jewelry Brands Are Headed

The landscape for queer jewelry brands in 2026 is genuinely exciting. Queer Metalsmiths is working alongside the Society of North American Goldsmiths to present the 2026 In Focus digital showcase, which is a curated exhibition featuring BIPOC and 2SLGBTQIA+ artists from historically underrepresented communities who are changing the ways jewelry and metalsmithing will exist in the future. This kind of institutional support marks a shift in the industry, not just on an independent level, but across all areas of craft and fine art.

Rather than a rainbow logo on products that exist today, the future will offer more genuinely created innovations by designers who know what it means to want to wear jewelry that reflects their complete self, not just their ring size. Inclusivity in design, ethical materials, size inclusivity and transparency of value are becoming the baseline in jewellery consumption, rather than an exception.

If by 2026 you will be spending money on jewellery, the above methods of purchasing jewellery are an excellent place to start. Once you purchase from a retailer built to support you as a consumer, you will find it difficult to revert back to other forms of purchasing options.
